doesn't love Linux? Well, you will be happy to know that Linux is
almost completely supported by jobBuddy (just see the one little note
below). Anyway, here is how to install jobBuddy in Linux:
- Most
Linux distributions already have Python installed by default (Suse
might be excluded).However, it is a good idea to check. Just open up a
terminal and type in python. If the interpreter comes up then close the
window and go to step 2. If you are not lucky enough to have python
pre-installed, use a package manager to get it or go to http://www.python.org/download/
- Chances are that you will need to also
install wxPython. This can easily be done here: http://www.wxpython.org/download.php#binaries. Please note that for Ubuntu/Debian it is best to go through the repository.
- Download and extract this zip file and run jobBuddyGUI.py.
