Python Powered!
Who doesn't love Linux? Well, you will be happy to know that Linux is almost completely supported by jobBuddy (just see the one little note below). Anyway, here is how to install jobBuddy in Linux:

  1. Most Linux distributions already have Python installed by default (Suse might be excluded). However, it is a good idea to check. Just open up a terminal and type in python. If the interpreter comes up then close the window and go to step 2. If you are not lucky enough to have python pre-installed, use a package manager to get it or go to http://www.python.org/download/
  2. Chances are that you will need to also install wxPython. This can easily be done here: http://www.wxpython.org/download.php#binaries. Please note that for Ubuntu/Debian it is best to go through the repository.
  3. Download and extract this zip file and run jobBuddyGUI.py.
Just in case you need it, here is the tutorial.
